Job Summary


We are looking for a seasoned risk, governance and reporting custodian to drive and manage an effective risk management culture for Transactional Banking Enterprise Risk looking at both Operational and Strategic Risks through ensuring efficiency of governance structures, effective stakeholder management and meaningful reporting to internal and external stakeholders.


Job Description:

In this role some of your key accountabilities will entail;

  • Facilitating effective business reviews, reflection and challenge through quality, timeliness and insight informed reporting.
  • Ensuring deliverables and reports are accurate, meet quality standards and are completed within the set timelines.
  • Ensuring accuracy, completeness and validity of all data inputs and reporting.
  • Clearly articulating significant issues driving the control environment and execution in line with Business Strategy.
  • Showing visibility of Transactional Banking (TXB) Africa Regional Operation (ARO) activities through reporting at Business unit level along with Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) forums.
  • Accurate delivery of internal reporting and presentations for key risk committees within TXB and CIB.
  • Efficiency of all defined governance forums, through setting and effective communication of Agenda, Minutes, matters arising and timely distribution of documents for discussion.
  • Ensuring that defined governance forums are operational and efficient.
  • Ensuring that the control environment is reported, managed within acceptable parameters and that governance processes operate as intended
  • Owning and driving the enterprise Risk.
  • Partnering with Enterprise Stakeholders for Fraud, Technology, Cyber and Information Security, Data, Process Management, Suppliers, Credit, Model, Payments, People, Resilience, Tax, Financial Reporting and Legal Risk, through a check and challenge of assessment outcomes, ratings and findings, to facilitate effective risk management.
  • Building and maintaining effective working relationship with key stakeholders across the enterprise.
  • Supporting First Line of defence (1LOD) testing team in ensuring that the TXB assurance activities are documented, reported on and add value to the business.
  • Partnering with Enterprise Risk Stakeholders through a check and challenge of assessment outcomes, ratings and findings, to facilitate effective risk management.

  • Over 5 years experience in risk management
  • 2 or move years in Assurance as well as Reporting
Education

Bachelor's Degrees and Advanced Diplomas:
Business, Commerce and Management Studies (required)
