Our client, a leading flavours and seasoning producer, seeks to employ a dynamic and motivated FMCG Sales Representative to join their progressive team, to specialize in sweet and savoury product development where they will sell food flavours and colours, and grow our customer base.


KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION:

  • You must be able to work independently and accurately keep records and be proactive in your approach to ensuring the profitability of the company
  • You must have a relevant tertiary degree in commerce, food technology or science, or related, as well as at least +3 years in Sales with a proven sales record experience in seasoning, flavours and fragrances is essential
  • You must have excellent communication skills, be attentive to details, and have a strong general knowledge of the food flavours/ food chemicals market would be an advantage
  • MS Office proficiency is essential
  • You will assist with the sale of food flavours and colours to the required client base, and be responsible for generating new business and sales
  • You must have an understanding the work flow, pressure and daily operations of business and manage customer expectations as facetoface customer meeting weekly target needs to be met
  • You will be cold calling and reaching weekly and monthly targets, as well as giving sales presentations to management
  • You will be initiating customer contact through personal contact, doing customer research (business, opportunities, needs), and heading up presentation of product offerings and systematic followup
  • You must be able to follow through on effective and efficient closure of sales by working with customer base to ensure good relationships are maintained and all customers are serviced as required
  • You will be doing general admin and weekly reporting, as well as proceeding with strategy presentations to management
  • You must have a valid driver's licence, own car and a clear criminal and credit record, and you will cover the Gauteng region with occasional trips to Mpumalanga and Limpopo
