The scope will include but will not be limited to:

  • Establish processes for governing the identification, collection, and use of NCMS metadata; take steps to assure metadata accuracy and validity.
  • Establish methods and procedures for tracking data quality, completeness, redundancy, and improvement.
  • Conduct data capacity planning, life cycle, duration, usage requirements, feasibility studies, and other tasks.
  • Create strategies and plans for data security, backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and archiving.
  • Ensure that data strategies and architectures are in regulatory compliance
  • Establish and maintain the NCMS Enterprise Data Model using best practice references but not limited to Universal Data Model (UDM), ISO2002
  • Develop and maintain the NCMS Data Model based on ISO 20022 including other areas within CMD
  • Maintain and identify gaps in the conceptual and logical data model
  • Maintain and update the data flow/data lineage Model(s) based on business value stream and processes.
  • Data Catalogue and Business Glossary in conjunction with the Data Analysts
  • Metadata definitions associated with the Conceptual and Logical Data Entities
  • Master Data Management Models
  • Assess and determine governance, stewardship, and frameworks for managing data across the organisation.
  • Develop and promote data management methodologies and standards.
  • Oversee the mapping of data sources, data movement, interfaces, and analytics, with the goal of ensuring data quality.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for data reuse, migration, or retirement.
  • Develop business Intelligence and Analytics Architecture patterns and align to best practice and current Data & BIA Reference Architecture
  • It will also be required that the Data Architect participates in the NCMS/CMD data management workgroup.

Minimum Qualification Required:

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in computer science or information Management OR equivalent,
  • A minimum of seven to ten years' experience in a Data Architecture environment.
