Additional Information:
This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Oklahotel (Pty) Ltd. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc.

The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel's employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment.

If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.


JOB SUMMARY
The successful applicant will be responsible for the following:

  • Overdue accounts are followed up telephonically or in writing as and when necessary.
  • Compiling and sending of Month end reports to relevant parties (Head office/Stats/Absa etc.).
  • A Debtors' control report, showing aged analysis is produced weekly and submitted to the Financial Manager for examination.
All actions and matters arising out of review by the Financial Manager are processed and actioned without delay.

  • Collection of Debtors within agreed terms. Escalating debtors that fail to pay in time to the Financial Manager and discuss what action should be taken in respect of accounts that are in arrears.
  • Performing daily banking.
  • Ensure that the cash up procedure is being enforced cash up checks to be conducted.
  • Assisting with any other area in the accounts department, for example Accounts payable processing, Stock takes etc.
  • Follow up and resolve all queries.
  • Filing of all documents accurately and maintaining an update database.
  • Ensure that monthend responsibilities are completed by the prescribed dates set by the Financial Manager.
  • To report on any variances to relevant departments and assist with resolving all banking queries.
  • General accounting and admin duties
  • Updating Foreign exchange on a daily basis
  • To maintain and monitor storage of all financial records in accordance with the law.
  • To resolve any/all queries.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

The following are the Minimum requirements:

  • Knowledge of following systems OPERA and, SAGE PASTEL EVOLUTION
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Computer literacy essential
  • Positive attitude, selfdisciplined and a motivated TEAM player
  • Must be able to work and perform well under pressure.
  • Deadline driven.
