  • Acquire goods & services in the most compliant, efficient and cost effective manner to ensure continuity of supply, minimise risk, maintain inventory levels and manage suppliers.

Main Objective

  • To ensure that Procurement policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to thereby ensuring adherence to best practice and corporate governance.
  • Drive and optimise the purchasing processes, inventory and supply management within the divisions to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness as well as supplier reliability.
  • Drive to meet procurement BBBEE legislative targets.
  • Reduce Procurement spend on a consistent basis through continuous improvement and implementation of strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • To lead category spend analysis and full value procurement through cross functional teams across the group.
  • To manage & mitigate risk by ensuring continuity of supply.
  • Negotiate Group contracts and SLA's in the most cost effective manner.
  • Drive to reduce costs and identify opportunities to generate savings.
  • Effectively manage, mentor and develop staff to build skills capacity.
    Inherent Requirements

Qualification(s)

  • Grade 1
  • Purchasing Management / Supply Chain / Logistics or Supply Chain Diploma
  • Purchasing Management / Supply Chain / Logistics or Supply Chain Degree

Experience

  • 5 years' experience in Procurement/ Supply Chain/ Engineering/ Manufacturing/ Operational management
  • 3 years Stock Management experience
  • Therefore 8 years relevant experience in total
  • 5 Years' experience in Procurement management.
  • Manufacturing, Engineering, Operational or FMCG Environment.

  • Bachelors
