Personal Cash Investments Savings Specialist Consultant

The Savings Specialist Consultant will be responsible for the acquisition of new savings clients as well as the maintenance of existing clients, whilst (in partnership with the Internal Consultant) delivering a distinctive client experience.

The candidate will be accountable for driving a specific client segment and looking for opportunities to grow the PCI business.


Retention, Growth and Client engagement for existing clients:

  • To retain and grow the existing client base.
  • Effectively service all existing client sales related requests and queries – in collaboration with the CSC Savings team
  • Communication and client experience
  • Actively ensuring daily client activity is completed, in collaboration with the IC , maturities, allocation of funds, negative balances
  • Reporting/Client data managementExperience, skill and capabilityClient segment ownership
  • Accountable and responsible for a client segment
  • Analyse insights for specific client segment
  • Determine opportunities and look to proactively develop, implement, and measure results.
  • Work closely with Product, pricing, ops, and marketing to drive the strategy for PCI

Risk Management:

  • Ensure risk consciousness at all times.
  • Adhere to legislation FICA, FAIS, CPA etc.
  • Log all client complaints, escalate losses to ICI ERM and identify appropriate resolution

Key stakeholder management:

  • Develop and maintain mutually beneficial and strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders, especially onboarding, payments, operations, CSC and risk teams.
  • Building strong relationships with the Internal Consultant in order to deliver to the client.
  • Build strong networking relationships with other client teams in the bank – Banking, BTB, CCM, Import Solutions, TSS and IWIProduct Knowledge
  • Understand all Investec Cash Investments products and processes and drive opportunities for efficiencies and improvements

Skill and Experience:

  • BCom Degree preferred
  • Knowledge of competitor environment advantageous
  • Relevant client services and sales experience
  • Excellent communication skills (written and spoken)
