Stock Management:

  • Ensure accurate stock receiving and unpacking for merchandise display and sales floor replenishment.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels using defined processes such as stock counts, loss action plans, and maintaining sufficient stock levels.
  • Supervise stockroom maintenance to uphold housekeeping standards.
  • Authorize write-offs, breakages, recalls, and returns.

Sales Growth & Profitability:

  • Analyze sales and profitability reports to develop operational action plans, boost sales performance, and track store expenses.
  • Stay updated on in-store product performance to provide feedback for sales enhancement.
  • Spot and suggest new opportunities for sales increase and brand recognition, including marketing in-store, competitor analysis, event participation, and acquiring new accounts/memberships.

Risk Management:

  • Conduct compliance checks through various processes to ensure adherence to policies and procedures, such as admin checks, audits, health & safety standards, and security measures.

Customer Experience Management:

  • Implement customer experience processes, business instruction execution, promotions, and general housekeeping to meet service standards.

Leadership & Development:

  • Guide and motivate the store team to achieve KPIs and operational strategies while upholding company values.
  • Identify and address training and development needs focusing on talent management and succession planning.
  • Handle recruitment, performance management, and policy adherence.
  • Requirements: Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent, 3 years' store managerial experience, sales and service management, computer literacy, strong communication skills, retail trade knowledge, brand, customer, and product understanding.
