Luxury Lodge - Kruger National Park

Requirements:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in either Management or Hospitality (Beneficial)
  • A minimum of 4 years' work experience ideally 2 years as a trainee and in a wellrecognized fivestar hotel or worldclass lodge, as an assistant manager.
  • In depth understanding of 4/5star lodge operations, especially Food and Beverage, Front of house, Duty management, Housekeeping and Hosting Exceptional Food and Beverage knowledge of its preparation and terminology.

  • Excellent Customer Relations and must love to host guests.
  • Fluent in MS Office, MS Word & MS Excel
  • Professional and well groomed
  • Driver's license essential
  • RSA Nationals will be given preference.
  • A professional and collaborative manager that communicates effectively and is a relationship builder by nature.
  • A mature, intuitive & positive individual, that leads by example.
  • Passionate, highly selfmotivated and takes ownership in the business and detail.

Description:

  • Ensure lodge guest experience levels are met and maintained.
  • Fill in for the Lodge Manager and other staff when required.
  • Be readily available to deal with all guest queries and complaints.
  • Ensure Front Desk complete administration accurately and according to Standard Operating Procedure
  • Randomly inspecting the stores (F & B / Kitchen) to check stock control is being implemented (quality, par stock levels, expiry etc) in conjunction with the F & B Manager or Exec Chef.
  • Inspecting all department with their respective Manager's for cleanliness, ambience, service readiness, staff grooming & hospitality culture.
  • Monitor the coordination between all departments for smooth & efficient operations.
  • Providing timely and constructive feedback to all direct reports as and when required
  • Assume role responsibility for any role as nominated by Senior management, but primarily focused on the Front Office Management, Executive Housekeeper and F&B assistant manager
