Key Accounting Support to the Finance Department

You will have the following**:

  • Completed Finance degree
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar position
  • Extensive knowledge of Accounting Software, Proficient in Excel, Balance sheet Accounting

  • Willing to work additional hours when necessary.

Your Key Performance Activities will include but not limited to:

Process:

  • Balance Sheet and Inter Company reconciliations, review and clearing of unresolved items.
  • Ensuring that integrity of financial transactions captured on JDE before posting all capturing.
  • First review of the monthly TB's
  • First review of monthly finance packs
  • Preparation of all monthly standard and sundry journals (Accruals, Prepayments, etc.)
  • Preparation and reconciliation of VAT (SA /DRC) returns
  • Fixed Asset Maintenance
- all companies

  • Review of monthly petty cash reimbursements for all sites as well as managing the Foreign petty cash held.
  • Review and release of Group Company payments.
  • Assistance with annual budgets
  • Documenting and maintenance of Internal controls and policies
  • Preparation of audit schedules and managing all outstanding audit requests
  • Supervision and support of the Finance department, and to step in when necessary.
  • General support to the Accounting Manager.
