We are looking for someone who will be responsible for driving recommendation of our brands through science-based trainings and education of our HCPs as well as delivering the sales target of their territory, achieve distribution targets and ensure successful new product launches.

An expert in sales strategies, able to effectively drive brand propositions and selling stories that result in brand recommendation and building HCP trust, excellently execute annual sales strategy planning, promotion negotiations and driving ROI, coordinate training workshops, passionately focused on customer service & instore excellence, and deliver growth of our brands ahead of our competitors.

A person who is customer obsessed, agile, solution focused, with a growth mindset, data driven with excellent analytical skills and motivated by accountability to our consumers, customers and our team.


In this role you will

  • Detail HCPs in line with "6 Steps of a Call" model (including but not limited to Pharmacists, Pharmacy Assistants, Front shop assistants & Clinic Sisters)
  • Deliver robust instore training to our HCPs during planned Lunch & Learn sessions
  • Compliance with customer relationship management tool requirements
  • Effective communication of trained scientific knowledge to drive recommendation and build trust
  • Development and implementation of mutually agreed annual Customer Joint Business Plans with key customers and coordinate the efforts of assigned 3rd Party merchandising agents within Clicks & Dis-Chem or as specified
  • Develop strong customer relations within the identified channels to maximise business opportunities, grow the business and also be directly responsible for delivering against assigned sales targets by selling, merchandising and detailing to agreed segmented & targeted customer base
  • Meet coverage criteria of the customer base according to set segmentation and targeting parameters
  • Ensure effective area distribution and supply by maintaining adequate stock cover in all customers
  • Territory coverage over JHB North-East, including the following areas but not limited to: Boksburg, Benoni S, Brakpan, Delmas, Springs, Emalahleni, Middelburg, Mbombela, Hazyview, White River, Malelane, Komatipoort, Heidelberg, Klipfontein

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience as a pharmacy sales representative
  • Innovative by using data and other resources to maximize sales within each area
  • Professional selling skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • Presentation/communication skills.
  • Continually able to elicit, uncover and/or understand customer's needs and store priorities, to identify how Haleon's brands/propositions can meet those needs/priorities.

_ Advantageous skills/requirements_

  • Related University Degree
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical products (nutraceuticals and multi vitamins) would be an advantage
  • Proven sales track record of achieving and/or exceeding KPIs
  • Territory & Customer management skills
  • Analytical skills an ability to analyze industry competitors through use of key competitor analysis and available data.
  • Commercial acumen, including pricing and margin analysis
