Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Strategic Director will primarily be responsible for developing the strategic goals of uniWines through various business expansion and development activities, thereby establishing a lasting long-term benefit for all stakeholders.

The Strategic Director takes accountability for the overall profitability of uniWines to the benefit of its producers, shareholders, and personnel.


Expected outcomes will include:
*Develop strategic goals for uniWines to achieve the mandate provided *Identify and develop new business ventures to ensure long term sustainability *Create and manage the organisational environment for the sustainable achievement of goals *Build and maintain client relationships *Business reporting *all other tasks associated with the role.

Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:

  • Relevant postgraduate qualification
  • MBA or similar;
  • At least 15 years' experience in the wine industry, 10 of which in a senior management role;
  • Proven success in identifying and developing business opportunities;
  • Knowledge of relevant, applicable industry legislation and regulations;
  • Knowledge of business, operational, production and financial management.
