  • As a Procedures & Systems Specialist you will be responsible for the following activities:

This position is responsible for improving and validation of Logistics Policies & Procedures and Plant Operating Standards.

  • Document clearly defined policies and procedures to improve employee and system efficiency.
  • Coordinate and prioritise policies and procedures (business, system and HSEQ) of various projects to address identified business needs within the required time frames.
  • Assist in implementing Group best practice, administration audits and make recommendations to correct identified deviations from operating standards at the depots.
  • Conduct system compliance reviews at all Depots, Terminals, ISPs, and Central Processing.
  • Validate all findings identified by internal auditing for all divisions within logistics. Coordinate and provide information required by external auditing companies.
  • Assist in developing and implementing a Quality Management System (including all policies, procedures, written instructions, measurement criteria, etc.).
  • Provide for effective training of (QMS), Safe Working Procedure (SWP), product handling and systems training through the development of specialised training courses.
  • Identify information needs to facilitate implementation of relevant policies and procedures accurately and timeously
  • Review existing processes and provide recommendations to improve controls and efficiency thereon.
  • Liase with all relevant parties on feedback, procedures, and impact thereof on the business.
  • Compile and update Logistic Management Compliance checklists and communicate changed document to relevant area managers.
  • Assisting with various adhoc projects/investigations as identified by management.
  • Share knowledge and information with all sites.

HSEQ

  • Ensure constant adherence and compliances to the Company's HSEQ and security standards, any local bylaws and government legislation to minimize all risk pertaining to the company's assets, be an excellent corporate citizen and ensure the safety of all people.
  • Assisting with various Risk investigations, implementing, and compiling relevant policies and procedures and advising management accordingly.

Governance

  • To ensure effective risk management and internal control, including asset management, for area of responsibility.

Context and environment

  • Travel to remote Depots, including NBE
  • Validate sitespecific work instructions.
  • Ideally as a Procedures & Methods Specialist you will possess the following:
  • Relevant 3-year tertiary qualification or 3 years Diploma, a degree or Experience in Logistics and operations of at least 10 years
  • Experience in stock management gained in a petrochemical, production, or industrial environment.
  • Experience in dealing with specialist staff and support functions
  • Extensive experience in managing and implementing HSEQ programmes
  • Extensive experience in development of training material
  • Experience in SAP MM and SD modules.
