Description:

This position is situated in our Distribution Centre in Paarl, Western Cape. The incumbent will on a rotational basis, be responsible for one of the four workstreams of the Distribution Centre.

(Workstreams:

Inbound, Inventory, Picking, Outbound).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics or similar
  • 4 years related management within Inbound, Inventory, Picking & Outbound experience
  • Must be willing to work long hours during peak times
  • Advanced level Microsoft Excel proficiency
  • Strong people skills
  • Driver's License & own transport
  • Blue Yonder WMS experience will be an advantage

Responsibilities:

  • Forecasting and planning of resource requirements (people and equipment) to support DC Throughput growth.
  • Forecasting and planning of warehousing space allocation requirements to support DC Throughput growth.
  • Forecasting and planning of Service Provider (3PL) requirements to support DC Throughput growth
  • Initiation and execution of DC resource optimisation initiatives.
  • Optimising warehousing operations (materials handling).
  • Continuous evaluation of distribution processes and identification of opportunities for improvement.
  • Execution of policies and standards pertaining to materials handling and ensuring compliance to safety standards
  • Set performance expectations, provide guidance, and foster a collaborative and high performing team culture.
  • Maintain internal and external stakeholder relations.
  • Responsible for relationship management with stakeholders and ensures adherence to
  • Service Level Agreements
  • Leveraging advanced system technologies to enhance the efficiency of the DC.
  • Monitoring of systems service provider support.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records and executing inventory control measures to minimize discrepancies and losses.
