Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:
  • NQF6 or higher-level qualification in Accounting / Finance
  • 5 years working experience in accounting / bookkeeping / financial admin position, preferably in the public sector
  • At least 2 years work experience in a supervisory capacity
  • Good knowledge of GRAP, IFRS, PFMA, Treasury Regulations, SCM / related acts
  • Must have worked and actively participated in bid processes
  • Experience in internal / external audits
  • Knowledge and exposure to preparation of AFS
  • Able to inspect / advise on corrections required on payroll processing and statutory reporting
  • Experience in electronic banking processing
  • Experience in data analytics and report writing
  • High level of experience in MS Office and computer-based finance packages eg Sage Pastel
  • Able to perform bookkeeping function up to Trial Balance effectively / efficiently
  • Able to analyse financial statements & reports
  • Prepare, manage and review budgets
  • Good knowledge of budgeting / reporting to oversight bodies and National Treasury
  • Good English communication skills
The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:
  • Comprehensive & professional accounting and financial admin function
  • Budget allocation and tracking expenditure patterns

Salary: R CTC per annum for the contract duration
