About The Role


We are looking for an IT Specialist on site who can help us provide the same quality of service and excellence that our associates provide to our partners' customers on a daily basis, act as a coordinator in case of emergency or disaster, and also provide backup services for our workplace (WP) function, with an estimate of time spent on WP being no greater than 25%.


_ You'll be based from our Cape Town City Centre Hub, and should reside in the local area._

You Will Be...

  • Monitoring PartnerHero's IT help center and relevant Slack channels and responding to support requests
  • Troubleshooting problems jointly with associates in order to resolve hardware and software issues on their computers
  • Tracking and managing IT assets within PartnerHero's asset management platform
  • Performing setup, maintenance, and shipping/receiving of computers and other IT hardware to associates
  • Owning and maintaining specific process and troubleshooting documentation within PartnerHero's Confluence wiki
  • Representing PartnerHero in the relationship with the building administration
  • Managing tools such as Eden to schedule office access
  • Acting as the first aider when needed
  • Coordinating building access for employees and visitors as needed
  • Performing inventory, purchase, and procurement tasks for IT, office equipment, and swag
  • Coordinating with our contractors as needed
  • Assisting with business continuity and disaster recovery planning and implementation
  • Receiving associates and authorized visitors/contractors if they don't have access to the building
  • Assisting new hires, such as providing a tour of the office, equipment delivery, paperwork, and other similar tasks
  • Coordinating with visitors regarding dinner or hotel reservations
  • Coordinating swag shipments
  • Assisting support functions across the organization as needed
  • Fulfilling miscellaneous shipping, transportation, and logistics tasks as needed
  • Maintaining the office in a neat and professional manner
  • Initiating and building the office culture and engagement

What You Bring To The Table
- +2-3 years of experience in information technology or technical support

  • Good knowledge of computer hardware/OS maintenance and management, including Windows and macOS
  • Ability to work independently and make timely, wellinformed business decisions
  • Familiarity with remote desktop support tools
  • Familiarity with cloudbased platforms such as Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, etc.
  • Excellent customer service mentality and willingness to work and communicate with a globally distributed IT and Workplace team
  • Strong interpersonal, spoken, and written English communication skills
  • Experience working with local and remote vendors
  • Work well under pressure and in a highly dynamic environment
  • Extremely organized
  • Highly responsive, responsible, and reliable
  • Knowledge of spreadsheets
  • Ability to interact with all associates, visitors, and providers effectively with the utmost care and efficiency
  • Problemsolving and analytical skills
  • Have the ability to move, lift, carry, push, and place items weighing 10kg
  • A valid driver's license with no restrictions
