The Internship Role


The internship position should be fulfilled for a 12 month period, thereafter a review will take place during which the possibility of a permanent offer will be discussed.

This depends on both the intern's performance over the course of the internship as well as the availability of a permanent position at this time

Objective of Role


The main role of the Digital Marketing Intern is to engage in all aspects of our client activities in terms of performance marketing with a specific focus on, but not limited to: campaign and account management of social, search, and display campaigns.

Our training programme will provide a holistic overview to the Digital Marketing landscape and include practical assignments to allow for learning to be embedded throughout the 12 month period.

Role and responsibilities
Working closely with team members to assist with quality control/assurance
Assist fellow team members with campaign setups. Ensuring sufficient research is done and following directions given by the media manager/line manager.
Support team members with reporting requirements

Analysing campaign performance and providing optimisation suggestions as well as deriving insights and sharing this with the relevant media manager/line manager.

Regular reviews of performance of campaigns across revenue, performance and daily pacing. To provide feedback to the relevant media manager/line manager on performance.
Monitoring campaigns to ensure performance goals and revenue objectives are met.
Assist with ad hoc tasks.

Paid Media:
Social

Employ Strategic Campaign set up with sufficient research and following direction given by the strategic lead.
Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, account managers and clients to develop and implement media buying strategies.
Analyse campaign performance and make recommendations for optimization.
Regular review of performance of campaigns across revenue, performance and pacing.
Ensure campaign delivery against revenue goals and Key Performance Indicators as established with the client and consultants.
Daily reporting and monitoring of campaigns to ensure performance goals and revenue objectives are met.
To ensure best practice and buying techniques are employed at all times.
Being able to interpret data and deliver a holistic overview to clients.

Paid Media:
Search

Running, implementing & managing Google Ads and potentially Microsoft Advertising campaigns.
Optimising Pay Per Click (PPC) campaigns based on best practices and up-to-date optimisation techniques.
Conducting keyword research, client research & competitive landscape analysis.
Overall account creation & set up.
Ongoing optimization & strategic feedback.
Performance - Ensure campaign targets are met (e.g. CPA / ROAS).
Client & Internal Reporting for both operational & invoicing purposes.
Assisting team members with quality assurance.
Campaign Manager

Working closely with the Tech and Service team to ensure seamless integration with full Google Marketing Platform (GMP) stack clients.

Being able to troubleshoot issues within CM and presenting solutions.
Ability to check different channel behaviour and impact of various channels on digital campaign performance eg. How does paid search influence performance on display / social.
Account Management
Brief in monthly reports.
Assist with following up on tasks on specific campaigns.
Assist in developing contact reports after meetings.
Brief in requests from clients.

Make use of current platforms to follow up on tasks on specific Business Units and provide updates to relevant AM's & AD's.

Assist with scheduling internal meetings.
Assist with correct filing of documents and files in the correct folder on Google Drive.
