Your Role at Our Company:

As Equity Accountant, you will be responsible for the accounting and financial reporting for the Company's complex equity and stock-based compensation setups. This role is essential and visible, with management looking to you as an expert to enhance the Company's processes and controls related to equity and stock-based compensation. The position will expand to cover general Technical Accounting matters beyond equity and stock-based compensation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Fully owning accounting and financial reporting for equity and stock-based compensation
  • Staying updated on the Company's equity arrangements and evaluating appropriate accounting
  • Preparing journal entries for equity and stock-based compensation regularly
  • Updating Excel workbooks to support accounting for equity and stock-based compensation, and ensuring accuracy
  • Maintaining Technical Accounting memos and preparing necessary financial disclosures
  • Collaborating with various teams and external auditors

What You'll Do:

  • 3 to 5 years of Technical Accounting experience including researching complex accounting matters
  • Active CPA or CA license
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • Proficiency with US GAAP and complex securities accounting
  • Experience managing multiple projects in a complex environment
  • Strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and analytical abilities
  • Proactive problem-solver with experience in reconciliations and internal controls
  • Communication skills and ability to work with senior management and external auditors
  • Public company experience and ERP proficiency preferred
  • Nice-to-have: Industry Fundamentals Certification by PXA
