We provide a caring, unique and dynamic educational environment for day scholars from Grade 0 to Grade 12 and boarders from Grade 5 to Grade 12.
School Admissions Secretary:
St Mary's DSG strives to create a pathway empowering confident young women of integrity and character to explore their potential and to contribute positively to our nation and the world.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build strong relationships with prospective students and parents, as well as a supportive and caring environment in which all students and parents thrive
- Implement the Admissions process that is timeous and effective
- Develop and establish relationships with feeder schools and their Marketing and Admissions departments
- Assist the Marketing Manager to arrange interviews of prospective parents in the Scholarship process as well as to arrange and set up School Tours.
- To assist with reception duties
- Capturing, management and maintaining of student and parent details on school systems and using the information in data collection for reporting purposes as needed
- Assist the Marketing department with guided tours of the school for prospective families
- General administrative support
- Assist with all related administrative duties as requested
Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant Diploma or Degree in Secretarial and or Administration
- Experience in an IEB Private School environment essential
- Excellent knowledge of MS Outlook, MS Word and MS Excel essential
- Experience with Statistical data
- Edu-Admin experience an advantage
Functional Competencies:
- Energetic, selfmotivated, innovative and creative
- Excellent interpersonal skills to develop purposeful working relationships with a variety of stakeholders
- Excellent communicator with ability to communicate vast amounts of information to new parents in order to assist in a smooth transition into the school.
- Great organizational skills to plan assessments and track marks, as well as follow up on documents needed, as well as to plan Welcome Function for Grade 0, Grade 8 and other New Girls
- Good administrative and organisational skills
- People orientated with the ability to empathize with prospective parents and students
- Ability to contribute to a dynamic, multicultural and wellestablished team
- Proficient in English, with proficiency in an African language an advantage
- Willing to support, promote and work within the Anglican ethos of the School
