Intercare Sub-Acute Hospital Irene (Pty) Ltd situated in Centurion, is recruiting for a Ward Secretary.

The purpose of the position is to provide assistance to maintain the smooth running of wards by performing a range of administrative and customer service tasks.


CRITICAL OUTPUTS

  • Communicate with patients and families as required with regards to logístical arrangements
  • Compile the patient file after discharge according to audit processes
  • Prepare admission documentation
  • Compile daily bed lists and ensure adherence to authorizations received
  • Assist with stock ordering and stock management
  • Assist the Unit Manager with adhoc tasks as required

REQUIREMENTS

  • Grade 12 / Office Administration qualification
  • At least 2 years reception experience in a medical facility
  • At least 2 years administrative experience
  • Understanding of a medical practice will be an advantage
  • AS400 System experience advantageous
  • Must be able to use Microsoft Office and have good typing skills
