Marketing Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES
a.
Manage the delivery of multiple projects / workstreams to achieve overall project objectives in terms of scope (quality), time, and cost standards.
b.Hold a forward-looking view on market trends on core & adjacent markets (megatrends -market dynamics - competition - customer & channel partners) to build growth-enabling strategic plans.
c.In close collaboration with subsidiaries marketing, sales, regulatory and supply teams, build a growth-enabling strategic plan encompassing:
i. Market analysis and market growth assumptions
ii. Segment and brand analysis and growth assumptions
iii. Competitor Review
iv. Portfolio gap analysis & New product launch plans
v. Go to market and distribution channel strategies
vi. Portfolio and Brand positioning relative to competitors
vii. Differentiated promotional messages relative to our competitors
viii. Media, promotion and communication plan and tactics
ix. Sales team support assets
x. Pricing recommendation
xi. Define and quantify potential future growth drivers
d. Define, brief, and implement the activation tactics to deliver the strategic imperatives in the market
e. Develop, track, monitor and communicate the marketing and supporting KPI's
f. Steer short
- and long-term operational plans in the market.
Is responsible of preparing new launch business cases and leading all project teamwork streams to launch innovations (supply readiness
i. - product positioning -activation campaign - volume, price, and financial assumptions.
ii. Prepare, track, and communicate the detailed Marketing advertising and promotional budget.
iii. Prepare, monitor, and communicate the short
- and long-term volume, price, and value forecasts. Working very closely with the sales, finance, and supply business partners to achieve the targets, proactively building mitigation measures when necessary (price - stock allocation)
iv. Brief, lead and manage the requests of media, advertising, and promotional agencies.
v. Launch, when necessary, the need market research (focus groups, desk research, quant work, agency liaison)
vi. Analyze business performance (volume, value, opex, stock on hand, pricing) and develop corrective plans to mitigate shortfalls
g.
Build partnerships, relationships & teamwork (internal & external):
i. With both internal and external members of the extended brand team involved in the marketing strategy.
ii. Establish & maintain effective communication with relevant subsidiaries & regional marketing team
iii. Establish & maintain effective communication with commercial teams and key stakeholders.
h.
Develop ongoing liaison with thought leaders, professional societies, and other organizations to ensure significant developments in the relevant fields are identified and monitored and to gain knowledge of customer needs and develop strategies that are customer centric.
i.Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations and attending key conferences and events.
j. Ensure that all activities are in accordance with Afrirent compliance standards.Qualifications
a. Minimum 3-year undergraduate degree or diploma.
b
Preferable:
Communication or Marketing focused.
c. Minimum of 3 years-experience in Marketing or Communication, ideally specialising in Social Media and Digital platforms.
d. Prior marketing experience in a variety of industries is preferred.)
e. Knowledge of media relations
f. Self-driven, self-starter

f. A proactive self-starter with a can-do attitude
g. Exceptional written and oral communication skills
h. Strong organizational and multi-tasking capabilities
i. Strong ability in fostering collaborative, cross-functional relationships
