A prominent
Wealth Management firm has a specialist opportunity for an
experienced Wealth Manager to play a pivotal role in providing investment, wealth and estate planning services to mainly high-net-worth individuals and families.


Initially the incumbent would assist the CEO and other Senior Wealth Managers in servicing their portfolio of clients with the intention of taking over some of those clients and managing his/her own client portfolio over time.


The role requires significant direct contact with clients, as well as with numerous external role players, such as investment managers, banks, lawyers and property managers in addition to close and regular interaction with different teams in different locations.


The successful incumbent will amongst others be responsible for:

  • Building and maintaining long-term business relationships with clients and becoming the first point of client contact over time;
  • Preparation and analysis of investment presentations, packs and reports;
  • Regular client meetings along with premeeting preparation and postmeeting followup;
  • Structuring of trusts and companies and takeon of existing entities;
  • Liaising with 3rd party service providers and role players including banks, investment houses, solicitors and property managers/estate agents;
  • Review and analysis of financial statements;
  • Setup and review of client investment portfolios in conjunction with the Investment Team;
  • Requesting execution of investments and related follow ups;
  • Assistance with client banking and foreign exchange transactions;
  • Review of individual, company and trust tax returns;
  • Management of cash balances, payments and receipts;
  • Proactively addressing ad hoc client requests;

Requirements:

  • B.Com, BBusSci or related degree plus 45 years Wealth Management experience, OR
  • CFA Charter holder, Certified Financial Planner (CFP) with 13 years Wealth Management experience
  • Excellent analytical skills with strong commercial awareness
  • Experience in financial statement analysis
  • Good understanding of financial markets and investment management
  • Good understanding of trust and corporate structuring
  • Ability to prioritise work and deliver high quality output to tight deadlines
  • Excellent oral & written communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent client relationship management skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
