As a Certified Financial Planner at GCI, you will have the opportunity to build your own client base with the support and resources necessary for success.

While we provide a base salary during the initial months of building your book of business, most of your income will come from commissions.

We believe in rewarding your hard work and dedication.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Hold a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation.
  • Possess at least a BCom degree in Accounting/Financial Management or related qualification and be RE qualified.
  • Demonstrate indepth knowledge of the stock market and its inner workings.
  • Excel in interpersonal skills, as you will work closely with clients.
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of relevant tax laws applicable to clients.
  • Possess knowledge of the banking sector and its operations.
  • Show a genuine passion for the financial markets.
  • Display proficiency in mathematics.
  • Possess excellent sales skills and the ability to effectively communicate financial concepts.
  • Exhibit strong networking capabilities.
  • Thrive in a fastpaced environment where meeting client demands is a priority.

Responsibilities:

As a Certified Financial Planner at GCI, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Educating clients about tax laws and providing comprehensive tax planning advice.
  • Offering insurance options to clients based on their individual needs.
  • Assisting clients in making informed and intelligent financial decisions.
  • Helping clients define and achieve their financial goals.
  • Conducting financial planning and providing wealth management services.
  • Ensuring that clients effectively maintain and grow their personal wealth.
