Purpose of the role:

The main goal of the Short-Term Insurance Administrator is to provide crucial support in handling underwriting inquiries and claims, while ensuring accurate maintenance of compliance documentation.

This position is vital for the smooth operation of insurance activities, contributing to effective customer service and adherence to regulations.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Underwriting Assistance:
    • Review insurance applications and accompanying documents for accuracy and completeness.
    • Assist in evaluating risks related to insurance applications.
    • Communicate with underwriters to clarify information or request additional documentation as needed.
    • Maintain records of underwriting decisions and inform relevant parties of outcomes.
  • Claims Handling:
    • Receive and process short-term insurance claims following company protocols.
    • Investigate claims by collecting necessary information from claimants, policyholders, and other involved parties.
    • Assess claim validity and coverage to determine suitable settlements.
    • Keep claimants and stakeholders updated on claim progress and address any inquiries or issues.
  • Compliance Documentation Management:
    • Ensure compliance with regulations by maintaining precise documentation.
    • Assist in preparing and submitting compliance reports when required.
    • Stay informed about changes in short-term insurance regulations and update internal procedures accordingly.
    • Collaborate with compliance officers to resolve compliance-related matters or queries.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Offer general administrative support to the short-term insurance team as necessary.
    • Maintain well-organized records of insurance policies, claims, and underwriting decisions.
    • Assist in creating insurance-related documents like policies, endorsements, and certificates.

  • EXPERIENCE Minimum 5 years industry experience
