BRIEF ROLE DESCRIPTION:

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (KPAs):

  • Develop and implement an effective and comprehensive compliance program, policies, and procedures within the organization.
  • Monitor and evaluate the organization's compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential compliance risks.
  • Oversee and manage all compliance activities, including policies and procedures development, training programs, and internal investigations.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees at all levels on compliancerelated matters, ensuring awareness and understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all compliancerelated inquiries from internal stakeholders, external partners, and regulatory authorities.
  • Keep abreast of changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards relevant to the organization's operations and proactively update compliance programs and policies accordingly.
  • Lead and conduct investigations into compliance concerns, incidents, or potential violations, and take appropriate action if necessary.
  • Ensure the organization's compliance with applicable privacy and data protection laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, such as Legal, Human Resources, and IT, to maintain consistency and alignment in compliance efforts.
  • Use of and identification of the appropriate Technology and system

Role Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Quality / Health & Safety / Environmental Management / Risk Management or a related field.
  • SAIOSH or SACMPCP this is an advantage to be registered
  • Matric (Senior Certificate)
  • At least 510 years of experience in compliance management, preferably in a similar industry or organization.
  • Indepth understanding of laws, regulations, and compliance frameworks relevant to the organization's operations.
  • Strong knowledge of internal control practices and risk management principles.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing compliance programs and policies.
  • Excellent leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to oversee and manage a team effectively.
  • Exceptional analytical and problemsolving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex compliance matters effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Professional certifications in compliance (e.g., Certified Compliance Professional) is a plus
  • Excellent knowledge of the IMS; Document Management System; ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, SAMTRAC or similar
  • MS Word, MS Excel & MS Outlook (Intermediate skill level), SAP Knowledge
  • Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental Legislations
