SENIOR LITIGATION SECRETARY - URGENTLY NEEDED

STELLENBOSCH

R R ctc, DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE

Minimum requirements:

  • Matric is essential
  • A postmatric qualification will be beneficial
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a litigation secretary
  • Experienced in High Court and Magistrate's Court litigation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent typing skills
  • Opening new files and onboarding new clients
  • Creditors. Counsel and correspondents disbursement accounts
  • Managing billing fees in order keep track on time spent on each client
  • Rendering of invoices to clients, collecting fees and ensuring timeous payment of counsel's fees and correspondent attorney's fees
  • Extensive drafting of legal documents
  • Maintaining electronic and hardcopy filing systems
  • Diarising of files
  • Dictaphone typing of court reports / meetings
  • Telephone and client liaison
  • Making appointments and diary management
  • Preparing files for trial / counsel / court
  • General errands
  • Well spoken, well presented and fluent in Afrikaans and English
