We engage
with entrepreneurs, and our customers on our platform on a daily basis through field sales agents, supplying credit lines, having WhatsApp conversations, and organizing product deliveries.


These interactions allow us to build extensive qualitative and quantitative insights into the typical patterns, challenges, and critical success factors of township entrepreneurs.

We are now keen to build on this physical & digital infrastructure and to use these insights. We are building an 'empowerment' engine for South African entrepreneurs who, as we observe, often struggle in this highly competitive environment and to provide them with education and development opportunities

What You Will Do


We are looking for an Education Development Manager to join the founding team of a startup project with national ambitions to bring breakthrough impact to the world of Entrepreneurs and small township businesses in education, funding, job creation, and support, in partnership with the National Treasury in their goal to address the challenge of unemployment in South Africa.

The goal is to unlock exponential Entrepreneur and Township SME growth with the corresponding impact by building an Entrepreneurial Development Program Platform that supports eCommerce and online entrepreneurial education to support retail

financing models and business growth that results in scale which ultimately leads to job creation.

We are looking to create;

  • A more just and equitable society that depends upon more families and households having a stable income in the townships through entrepreneurship development by providing entrepreneurial learning content through coaching, online delivery, onsite training, peer learning, and networking
  • Growth of Township SMEs and growing livelihoods through adequate access to finance in the retail industry in collaboration with training and marketing
  • Entrepreneurial growth, scale, and support; we are seeking growth beyond traditional models, using technology to educate and through intelligent behavioral software and powerful entrepreneur technology support toolkits


In this role, you will lead the entrepreneurial academic development and own the processes that deliver value to our businesses and entrepreneurs, and work side-by-side with Content & Quality providers to ensure the highest level of pedagogical support and systems for our entrepreneurs around the townships of South Africa.


It will be your responsibility to coordinate not only the learning platform but the delivery of onsite - training, as well as coaching and founding peer networks.


As the Education Development Manager, you will be involved in seeing through the strategic vision of the Curriculum and Education deliverables of the platform involving content development, alignment to accreditation options, implementation of our content evaluation strategy, and quality assurance of assessments measured against jobs created.


To excel in this role, you should be calm under pressure, have impeccable attention to detail, have great organization, planning skills, and project management skills, and must be adaptable in order to function in a fast-paced ever-changing environment.

You must further be able to manage and motivate other coaches to deliver relatable training to entrepreneurs.

Key Role Responsibilities and Duties

  • Take ownership to oversee the learning design and development of the Entrepreneur development program course content
  • Design the flow of new courses and create all the new material needed, including tutorials, compulsory tasks, coaching guides, and any other additional resources.
  • Work with Accreditation specialists to drive project strategies aimed at ensuring content alignment to accreditation requirements and achieve training, placement, and internship numbers
  • Analyze and report on all Key Performance Indicators mapped against Job creation targets
  • Effective management of content development and evaluation in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Plan and design strategies and make effective use of various instructional tools to evaluate instructional design solutions that offer quality to achieve the desired business impact.
  • Provide the necessary technical leadership and work with the project team to integrate commercialization, marketing, and funding for entrepreneurs.
