Code4Kids is an EdTech company based in South Africa, with clients and employees all around the world. Code4kids is a platform used by school teachers to teach coding & robotics to students ages 8-15.

We are currently seeking an experienced Marketing Lead to join our team to lead the marketing, branding and communications at Code4Kids.


You will be a full-time marketing hire and you will play a pivotal role in shaping our marketing strategy and driving growth.

An ideal applicant;

  • Is someone who has worked in the education, or similar, industry selling to schools, teachers or has B2B SaaS marketing experience with more than 3 years of experience.
  • Ideally been in a midlevel marketing role and is looking to step up into a senior position.
  • Importantly we are looking first and foremost for someone who is a "doer" you will be doing everything when it comes to the marketing; branding; speaking with customers to understand their needs; coordinating with the team; developing strategies; budgeting; executive reporting; setting up measurements; creating marketingmaterial, making and managing marketing campaigns or online events.
  • Keeps up to date with the latest tools, knows how to scope, trial, implement and operate the latest offtheshelftooling.
  • Has a wanting to deeply understand our customer and how we can strategically build brand recognition to meet their needs.
  • Comfortable working at home and proven "Intrepreneur". Has the ability to identify and hire future team members.

Requirements:

Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement a comprehensive branding and marketing strategy to boost brand awareness and drive customer acquisition.
  • Collaborate with all team members from sales, to product, to curriculum to align marketing initiatives with our business goals.
  • Create compelling content to effectively communicate our value proposition across various marketing channels.
  • Set up reporting and analysis to help inform the team.
  • Track, report, and analyse the performance of marketing campaigns, adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Lead initiatives for user engagement, retention, and overall customer lifetime value.

Here are some things done in the past that we would expect going forward:

  • Branding and Content Development.
  • Support the curriculum team in building a cohesive brand identity. Everything you see here ,here (Foundation Phase), and here (Intermediate Phase) will be your responsibility in ensuring future content is delivered at the highest level of quality.
  • Develop branding material used at conferences, online brochures or social media posts.
  • Design and source conference materials including clothing, banners, promotional material, print media. Come up with creative ideas to stand out at conferences such as competitions, activities, prizes etc.
  • Create a social media strategy for Linkedin, Instagram and Tik Tok. Create templates, a content calendar, write and schedule posts. Come up with initiatives to improve social media presence and engagement.
  • Design website layout, content and SEO optimisation.
  • Develop and maintain style guides.
  • Knowledge of web design best practices and ability to create and optimize landing pages for conversion.
  • Marketing Budget and coordinate. Coordinate a number of marketing initiatives and take ownership of the budget.
  • Support sales team in developing marketing campaigns that target different markets locally and internationally.


In summary, you have ownership here, you are required to be a person who can take ownership of the Code4Kids brand, marketing and awareness, you tell us what you need to prioritise while working closely with all other departments.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a marketing role in a similar context to this.
  • Demonstrable passion for education, the edtech industry and marketing.
  • Excellent understanding of marketing concepts, strategies, and best practices.
  • Proficient in marketing automation and analytics software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Willingness to dive into the daytoday tasks of running marketing campaigns.
  • A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field is preferred.
