We are looking for an experienced
Handyman, who will be responsible for the maintenance of the Groups' property portfolio. The Groups portfolio currently includes a business park and several commercial, industrial, and residential properties.

Advantageous to have acute knowledge in the following areas:

  • Fire equipment and system inspection, fire sprinkler systems, stacking regulations.
  • Distribution boards and electricity supply systems
  • General layout of plumbing works
  • General knowledge of the construction sector

Role:


The
Handyman will in support of the team, report to the
Group Property Manager and
Group CEO, by acting diligently and providing professional reporting to the Executive.


Responsibilities:

  • Act as the tenant liaison officer and potential new tenants.
  • Coordinating and overseeing regular building maintenance and repairs.
  • Responsible for procurement of goods and services.
  • Managing and directing cleaning and security staff and activities.
  • Preparing and carrying out emergency protocols and procedures.
  • Maintaining a safe environment for building occupants, service providers and visitors.
  • Preparing and monitoring maintenance budgets.
  • Conducting regular building inspections and preparing reports.
  • Ensuring facilities are in full compliance with applicable policies, regulations, and building codes.
  • Responding to inquiries and requests of tenants and resolving any problems or issues.
  • Act as primary agent to all internal and external stakeholders, and inter alia administration and relationship management.

Responsibilities:

  • Routine maintenance tasks such as replacing bulbs, checking door locks, Etc.
  • Repairing equipment and fixtures
  • Completing minor plumbing works
  • Completing minor electrical works
  • Installing small appliances
  • Able to troubleshoot and assess repair needs.
  • Maintain tools and equipment as well as inventory thereof.
  • Conducting regular building inspections as part of preventative maintenance.
  • Ensure tasks are completed within industry compliance standards.

Qualifications:

Must have an electrician qualification, as well as on-the-job experience in all disciplines described above.

Salary:
R17 000,00 - R20 000,00 per month
