We are looking for a skilled PET Processing Technician to join our team in Philippi, Cape Town

Our company specializes in the manufacturing of packaging products and we are currently seeking a dedicated PET Processor. This role is crucial as you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our production equipment.

Your main tasks will involve diagnosing technical issues, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, and implementing effective solutions to optimize machine performance.

You will collaborate closely with our Maintenance Manager and Production Manager to create maintenance strategies, adjust machine parameters, and maintain a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently conduct technical assessments and resolve equipment malfunctions.
  • Develop and execute maintenance plans to enhance machinery efficiency.
  • Collaborate with both internal and external partners to overcome production challenges and drive improvement projects.
  • Keep detailed records of machine configurations, maintenance activities, and spare parts inventory.
  • Ensure adherence to strict health and safety regulations and promote a safety-conscious culture within the team.
  • Maintain high-quality standards to showcase our dedication to excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of Grade 12 for Secondary Education.
  • Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering for Tertiary Education.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in equipment setup.
  • Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and fault-finding techniques.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Passionate about advancing your career in the Packaging and PET Processing industry, with a focus on environmental sustainability.
