The majority of the role is supporting audit staff in their use of audit and drafting software to efficiently complete engagements varying from Compilations, Independent Reviews to Audits.


GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Functions that are included in the role are the following but not limited to:

  • Release, monitor and manage CaseWare templates; (annual projects).
  • Provide daily CaseWare support and assistance.
  • Log all relevant CaseWare template changes; (annual projects).
  • Log and compile all CaseWare issues on a monthly basis and submit a written report on trends detected.
  • Identify common CaseWare issues and provide training solutions.
  • Represent the office at the CaseWare champion meetings.
  • Perform and conduct IT related duties and responsibilities that relate to the support of CaseWare, i.e., software installations etc.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
BCom - IT / Accounting is a requirement.

SAICA or SAIPA articles advantageous.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Two (2) years' experience using CaseWare working papers (CWWP) in the audit environment, encompassing importing Trial Balances, performing audit engagements and drafting AFS.


 CWWP
  • Design mode and Buildermode experience.
  • Problem Solving skills is a must have.
  • Ability to work without daily supervision.
