We are currently seeking a dynamic, energetic, and suitably qualified individual to join our team as Director of Greek.

As the Director of Greek at SAHETI you will be responsible for preserving, promoting and enriching Greek culture, ethos, tradition, celebrations, and language within our school community.

This position is integral in maintaining the high profile of Greek education within our institution.

Overview:

The position will require strategic leadership, and management of the Greej offering across all school phases, in line with the SAHETI Board Strategy.

Such responsibility will include the development and continuous updating of the curriculum as well as fostering a dynamic and integrated learning environment for all students.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Greek Language and Education; and
• Teaching certification/ equivalent qualification in Greek language education.

Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years relevant work experience (preferably teaching Greek language at different levels;
• Minimum of 5 years senior management experience in an educational setting;
• Proficiency in technology for classroom and administrative purposes;

Skills required:

• Excellent command of the Greek language, including grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. Proficiency in English
• Strong leadership and management skills to create a positive environment of mentoring and developing staff.
• Ability to work collaboratively and inspire a team.
• Interpersonal skills for effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Adaptability to embrace new teaching methodologies and technologies.

Personal Qualities

• A love and enthusiasm for Greek culture is essential, along with an indepth knowledge of Greek history, traditions, language, and arts;
• The ability to provide a clear and inspiring vision for the Greek programme and the ability to communicate it effectively to all stakeholders;
• Innovative thinking, collaboration skills, creative problemsolving qualities, and the ability to inspire and motivate;
• Ability to build relationships at all levels;
• An authentic respect for diversity within the school community and an understanding of how to promote Greek culture inclusively;
