Global Forwarding Freight - South Africa has an opening for a
Key Account Manager where you will maintain and Develop additional Business for overall sales development of DHL Global Forwarding Sales & Marketing function.

In this Key Account Manager position

  • You will be tasked primarily with managing and maintaining the key client accounts.
  • You will maintain knowledge and awareness of competing products/service, discount and pricing structure and overall strengths and weaknesses to determine how best to service key accounts to stay with the business.
  • You will maintain and updated sales funnel and participate in regular sales reviews in conjunction with the senior key account management.
  • You will maintain data and information relevant to key accounts for the purpose of conducting analyses that influence accountspecific decision making.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring that profitable sales volume and strategic objective targets are met for the assigned key accounts.
  • You will be responsible for assessing, clarifying, and validating the consumers' needs on an ongoing basis, maintaining high customer satisfaction ratings that are up to business standards.
  • You will regularly follow up with customers' orders and timely collections of the business's products to obtain feedback on their level of satisfaction and note areas of sales performance improvement.
  • You will lead solutions development for the identified improvement areas, coordinating involvement of any relevant business personnel.
  • You will develop target lists of new business within existing portfolio and continuously review and update.
  • You will establish and present customized offers to customers.
  • You will negotiate with customers on contractual terms of service provision that is aligned to corporate sales policy and procedures.
  • You will adhere to approved credit limits granted to customers and enforce previously agreed payment terms.
  • You will prepare and realize planned sales calls.
  • You will maintain all necessary information to assess credit worthiness of existing customer.
  • You will support receivables functions.
  • You will ensure Customer commitments are clearly communicated to respective operations clear business set up process.
  • You will report activities, quotes, sales calls and other information through customer database system i.e. ISell.
  • You will perform roles and responsibilities in compliance with Company Policies, Procedures, and Instructions.
  • You will be responsible for ISell record keeping and estimate preparation and follow ups.

Now, here's what we need from you

  • Must have a Matric.
  • Bachelors' degree in Sales, Business Management, Communications, Marketing, Customer Relationship Management, Business Administration or any other related field, an equivalent of the same in working experience is also acceptable.
  • 3 years' experience in a marketing operations or sales operation.
  • 5 years' experience of more of Key Account Management
