Job Opportunity as a Valuable Product Manager in the Automotive Sector:

Our client operating within the automotive industry is on the lookout for a dynamic Product Manager to collaborate closely with the Product team for Multiple Brands. The primary focus of this role is to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the overall Product department, making the candidate a crucial member of the team responsible for delivering key outputs effectively. In this position, you will be involved in managing all of the company's international car brands. It is a versatile role where you will provide support to different brands as needed, based on the requests from the Product HOD or Product Director.

To thrive in this position, the selected candidate will need to delve into market and customer trends, analyze customer research data, and undertake various other essential duties.

Ultimately, the incumbent will play a vital role in meeting and surpassing our business objectives to drive long-term success for the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather valuable insights on market trends, customer behaviors, and competitors to facilitate Product rollout and model management throughout the Product Life Cycle.
  • Analyze customer research data to develop Customer profiles and actionable insights.
  • Take charge of Product Life Cycle Management, including owning the Product Roadmap, monitoring Product performance, configuring, suggesting price proposals, and managing volume mix.
  • Collaborate with all departments to enhance Sales performance.
  • Provide support during product launches, including checking PR content, preparing website specification sheets, dealer bulletins, product launch materials, and POS materials.
  • Create dealer and Sales support tools and resources.
  • Monitor prices and competitors, making valuable recommendations based on findings.
  • Visualize and present data in graphical or tabular formats for easier interpretation.

Job Requirements:

  • Matric certification
  • Business-related Tertiary Qualification (preferable)
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Product Manager role is a must.
  • At least 5 years' solid experience in the automotive industry is a prerequisite.
  • Proficiency in Advanced Excel & PowerPoint is vital.
  • Strong analytical skills and mindset are essential.
  • Experience in gathering data through desktop, surveys, or software/web-based systems such as Jato, Lightstone, etc.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Adept at working well under pressure.
  • Attention to detail is a critical attribute.
