Our client is looking for a professional Trader who acts as the face of the company and is responsible for contacting new clients, maintaining relationships with established clients, consulting on products, and setting prices to achieve a budget per product per customer.


Responsibilities:

  • Identify, attract, satisfy, and retain a sound customer base by offering merchandise to our customers that will meet their needs and demands thereby enhancing our value chain.
  • Identify market segments, and develop detailed sales strategies to meet the business needs.
  • Implement and drive customer relationship management using technology to be the customer's preferred supplier.
  • Drive consistency of product specifications and company awareness.
  • Assist to achieve budgeted margins in boxed and fresh meat.
  • Assist the Distribution department by means of controlling parameters.
  • Control the budgeted stock levels and composition.
  • Achieve Sales Gross Profit Budget.
  • Achieve budget/customer.
  • Attract new business.
  • Adhere to Trading SOPs.
  • Manage the inratio selling of fresh and box meat.
  • Build customer relations.
  • Compliance with company values/ code of conduct SOPs.
  • Work within credit limit and terms/customer.

Key Skills:

  • Planning,
  • Maintain accurate Sales Reports,
  • Incontact customer service: site visits,
  • Manage returns and backorders,
  • Collate orders in route order,
  • Regularly reports to the general manager.

Qualifications:

  • 8 to 12 years of experience in Trading.
  • Have traded with Box Meat and meat carcasses ( lamb and beef )
  • Should have a base of clients, a minimum of possible clients
  • Should be willing to work weekends from home
  • Product knowledge
  • Own transport
  • Trade throughout Western Cape
