Medical Aid and Gap Specialist

Duties shall include but not be limited to the following:

  • Processing All New Business Applications for Medical Aid, Gap and Health Insurance
  • Provide Advice to clients for medical aid, Gap and Health Insurance
  • Ensuring all underwriting requirements are received from client and submitted to the relevant service provider
  • Processing change of broker request
  • Ensuring membership is activated according to SLA
  • Ensuring client receives confirmation of acceptance
  • Processing all addition of dependent and registration of new baby requests
  • Collate compliance documents, and ensure these are uploaded onto Hamp Connect.
  • Ensuring entries on Bias report is correct
  • Assist clients with review of plan when required
  • Assist clients with annual review
  • Assist in the absence of an Health Advisors using the buddy system
  • Assist client in understanding the shared value model for providers who has one
  • Assist clients with rewards program and integration of benefits
  • Ensuring that clients understand their benefits, waiting periods and penalties
  • Ensuring the use of internal systems (Hamp Connect)
  • Adhoc Duties
  • Initial Sales Target, i.e., 30% conversion rate must be met monthly. This will be adjusted as competency level increases.
