Our DevOps teams optimise our value flow - helping us take ideas to realisation and drive real customer impact. You'll have the opportunity to take a lead on projects and influence how we approach DevOps globally. There's a heavy focus of managing infrastructure in a live and high traffic environment and security, scalability and reliability.

What you'll be doing:

Build a Software Delivery Strategy that enables innovation without compromising qualityHelp us develop and maintain an automation mindset to allow scalability and support growthIncorporate DevOps/Infrastructure considerations in to the technology roadmap, working with engineering to manage dependencies, achieve synergies and track successTroubleshoot and solve complex infrastructure issuesSupport effective design procedures for systems Follow best-in-class agile processesDeliver operational excellence in production environmentsEnsure testing techniques and frameworks are considered and champion improvements to achieve company quality goals more efficientlyBuild strong relationships with software engineering, bridging any gaps between engineering and infrastructure to help them build and release their products/projects more efficiently and on scheduleHelp drive continuous improvement across the technology department, through role modelling and leading on or championing department wide improvement initiativesSkills and experience we think would set you up for success in the role: Some experience in a DevOps role in a fast paced, scaling environmentEither a background in software development or strong scripting foundations with languages like PythonExperience supporting high-traffic websites and awareness of best practices in designing cloud-native applicationsProven experience with Infrastructure As CodeExperience working in and driving an Agile developmentExperience influencing key stakeholders (internally and externally) to consistently deliver against key projectsA broad understanding of the software development lifecycle and practical hands-on experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery & QAEssential technical knowledgeDocker and container orchestration services in production environmentsCloud platforms (preferably AWS)Experience working with CI/CD tools beyond Jenkins (e.g.

Working Patterns We are extremely proud of our culture and believe in the many benefits that being in the office provides - all our roles require regular time in our office in the central business district in Cape Town.

We do not offer fully remote roles but we support hybrid working wherever possible (3 days in office, 2 days from home).

However, to meet the needs of our customers and business operations many of our Operational and Commercial roles are fully office based.
