Brief details of position
Working within the accounts department you will report directly to the Financial Manager. This position is based in Bellville. You shall assist with a range of accounting matters and financial control issues.

Purpose of the position


To assist in ensuring high quality and timely management information, stewardship of company assets, regular accounting records updates and good financial relationships with customers, suppliers, staff and stakeholders.


Qualifications and experience

  • The job holder should have proven cash control, purchase ledger and debtors ledger experience and a thorough understanding of the procedures involved in this type of role.
  • Proficiency on Pastel/Business Central
  • Good working knowledge of Excel and Word
  • Strong numerical skills

Duties

  • Check and process cash ups and control accounts
  • Processing daily bank reconciliations
  • Manage the debtors pricing and collections
  • Manage creditors approvals and correct allocation of costs
  • COS of sale movements in the correct place
  • Maintain fixed asset register and supporting documents
  • Balancing control accounts daily
  • Petty Cash
  • Importing stock movements and checking balances
  • Any other ad hoc duties
