The Legal and Compliance Manager assumes responsibility for the companies Legal Department and supports the Human Capital Department. The Legal Department should be available to assist other companies from the Group on legal issues.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Outline of Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Follow up and defend accident legal cases and liaise with Attorney's;
  • Manage accident cases and liaise with reconstruction experts Police Department, insurance companies, State attorney, Court of Law, and attorney's to ensure the company's interests are protected;
  • Draft and Maintain standardized policies and procedures across the board and where necessary draft and implement policies and procedures to meet business requirements;
  • Assisting in commercial and contractual negotiations;
  • Ensure legal compliance with all licenses, permits and insurance policies;
  • Provide inhouse legal counseling to all employees when required;
  • Liaise with insurance brokers and manage the insurance portfolio risk and insurance;
  • Develop and lead a cohesive team capable of planning and executing daytoday activities in a professional, effective and cost effective manner;
  • Maintain good relations with all Attorney's and ensuring that up to date in house files and records are kept.

Salary:
R600, R800,000.00 per year
