Qualifications and General:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Onboarding new clients onto Xero and Hubspot CRM
  • Bookkeeping and Monthly Reconciliation for clients
  • Preparation of VAT returns on Xero accounting software
  • File Income tax returns (PAYE, VAT, Income Tax)
  • Preparation and submission of VAT201 returns per period
  • Preparation of supporting documents for submission to SARS
  • Capturing accounting transactions on Xero
  • COIDA registration and submission of ROE
  • CIPC Registrations
  • CIDB registration
  • PAYE/UIF Registrations
  • Drafting Accountant's Letter
  • Payroll preparation and monthly management
  • Maintain records and receipts for all daily transactions
  • Ensure financial records are kept up to date
  • Contribute to financial audits
  • Preparation of Annual Financial Statements
  • Development of a Business Plan and Financial Projections
  • Receive inbound calls and redirect to relevant personnel
  • Must know how to use CRM (Non-Negotiable)
  • Other general administrative tasks

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years in an Accounting role
  • Must be a Tax Practitioner (Advantageous)
  • Excellent organizational skills (Nonnegotiable)

Must have own laptop and smartphone (Non-negotiable):

  • Excellent communication skills (Verbal & Written)
  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper
  • A NQF 7 accredited tertiary qualification in Accounting;
  • Own reliable transport;
  • A clear criminal record;
  • Be available to work both remotely with a reliable internet connection and from our office as required.
