The ideal candidate for this position will have a Bcom Accounting Degree or similar, substantial Excel experience and/or 1-5 years experience in a similar role.
Job Responsibilities:
Record, process, and reconcile financial transactions, including cash books, debtors, creditors, assets, inventory, and balance sheet reconciliations, with preparation of supporting schedules under supervision.
Assist with payroll tasks such as processing, reconciliations, and statutory submissions (EMP201, EMP501, COIDA/WCA) under supervision.
Prepare supporting schedules and compile basic and intermediate annual financial statements under supervision.
Perform VAT calculations and reconciliations, and submit VAT201 forms in compliance with regulations.
Engage with clients to build relationships and with POD members to ensure accurate transaction recording.
Update the CRM system with current client information, assist with client onboarding/offboarding, and convert/clean PDF data to Excel.
Plan monthly deliverables, submit timesheets on time, ensure daily project sign-offs, complete scheduled training, stay updated on industry changes, and promote a positive company culture.
