Our client in the HVAC sector requires a Key Account Manager, Johannesburg

Responsibilities:

  • Develop trust relationships with a portfolio of major clients to ensure they do not turn to competition.
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of key customers' needs and requirements.
  • Expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives.
  • Ensure the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner.
- _In depth technical knowledge of all products_

  • Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams.
  • Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust.
  • Play an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into long lasting relationships.
  • Assist all teams to meet financial targets and growth objectives for South Africa.
  • Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics.
  • Communicating and collaborating with the advertising, design, marketing, sales, and logistics departments to ensure the needs of the key client are met.
  • Focus on getting the Employer as the preferred partner
  • Work as a contact between companies
  • Active participation in events and fairs.
  • Creating a target customer strategy
  • Identification of market potentials, as well as observation and analysis of the market and competition
  • Keep abreast with industry and market trends and best practice
  • Responsibility for key accountrelated turnover
  • Build trust with major clients to retain their business. Understand their needs and offer tailored solutions.
  • Maintain timely and efficient communication between clients and internal teams. Possess indepth product knowledge and address customer issues promptly.
  • Generate new, longlasting sales and help achieve financial targets for South Africa. Prepare regular progress reports and collaborate with various departments to deliver excellent client service.
  • Focus on becoming the preferred partner for clients and participate in industry events and fairs. Identify and analyze market potential, staying uptodate with trends and best practices. Be responsible for key accountrelated revenue.

Requirements and skills:

  • Proven experience as a Key Account Manager
  • Experience in sales and providing solutions based on customer needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability in problem solving and negotiation.
  • Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule though normal and outside working hours.
  • From time to time, duties, responsibilities and roles might require work to be done outside of this job description
  • BSc/BA in business administration, sales or relevant field
  • BSc/BTech in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
  • Cooperation with the product development teams.
  • Presentation of new products and services
  • Ability to analyse threats and opportunities within the HVAC industry as well as your key accounts' industries.
  • Strong negotiation and leadership skills.
  • Excellent time and project management skill
  • Experience working for a manufacturer in the HVAC field.
  • The ability to handle multiple client accounts.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Professional experience in B2B sales in the HVAC industry.
  • Proficient in English and Afrikaans. Additional languages are an advantage.
  • Ability to work well in a team and ability to make your own decisions.
  • Handle complete sales life cycle and customer complaints
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Willingness to relocate
