As the Team Lead for CSO Response, you will be responsible for coordinating the efforts of the Incident Management and Engagement team in handling incident response planning, simulation, and incident management for critical risk scenarios. The role requires proficiency in information security and incident response, along with strong leadership, communication, and technical skills. The Team Lead must excel under pressure, making quick, well-thought-out decisions in a dynamic environment. Job Description: This role encompasses the following key areas of responsibility: Policy and Programme Management: - Shaping and implementing Security Incident Management standards throughout all operations of Absa Group Limited. Analysis: - Driving the analysis methodology and efforts concerning: - Monitoring the Threat Landscape: Actively tracking and analyzing existing and emerging threats to assess their potential impact on operations, personnel, assets, and the reputation of Absa Group Limited. - Near-Miss Analysis: Identifying trends of near-misses that could lead to significant incidents over time. - Problem Management: Investigating recurring incidents to pinpoint root causes and recommending corrective actions to prevent similar incidents in the future. Design: - Leading the development and implementation of incident and crisis response plans and protocols to be executed in the face of potential threats. These plans should align with established policies, standards, frameworks, and industry best practices. Implementation: - Overseeing the execution of analysis and design processes for incident and crisis management across the African business. This involves managing central incidents that require cross-cluster and business unit support, ensuring incidents are addressed comprehensively. Validation: - Spearheading scenario development in collaboration with Crisis Leadership, Crisis Response, and Incident Response teams to prepare, present, and analyze crisis simulations and exercises. This role may also involve directing Executive decision-making during exercises or actual incidents. Culture and Awareness: - Leading the design and execution of culture and awareness initiatives across Absa's operations to ensure all stakeholders are well-versed in incident and crisis management principles and protocols. Key Accountabilities: - Incident and Crisis Management Structure (5%) - Conducting awareness sessions with Incident Response Teams to ensure comprehension of the Security Incident Management Plan and Processes. - Socializing the Security Incident Management Plan with Business Incident Management and Technology Major Incident Management teams for clarity on handover and collaboration points. - Providing awareness training for new members of the Incident Management and Engagement Team. - Educating new Crisis Leadership, Crisis Response, and Incident Response team members on their roles and responsibilities. - Assisting with coordination and logistics in the Joint Operations Centre (JOC). - Incident and Crisis Management Threat Analysis (20%) - Leading the annual analysis of key risk scenarios to guide planning for the year. - Reviewing threat analysis from various areas to comprehend potential impacts on Absa Group Limited. - Driving Near-Miss Analysis and Problem Management efforts, including documenting and tracking remedial actions. - Compiling Threat, Near-Miss Analysis, and Problem Management reports and presentations.
