Job Title:
Artisan for General Building Works

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct repairs and renovations on buildings and structures as per specifications and safety guidelines.
  • Install, maintain, and repair drywall, ceilings, and wall partitions.
  • Perform carpentry tasks such as framing, roofing, and installing doors and windows.
  • Perform general construction tasks such as digging trenches, pouring concrete, and laying bricks or blocks.
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order and report any defects or malfunctions.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
  • Coordinate with other team members and contractors to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders regarding project updates and progress.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completed an apprenticeship or formal training in general building works, carpentry, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of delivering highquality workmanship and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with construction materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Good physical condition and stamina, with the ability to perform manual labor for extended periods of time.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Salary:
R25,000.00 per month
