The Senior MI Analyst in the 1st Line Risk department plays a crucial role in the development and maintenance of management information systems (MIS) to provide accurate insights into the business's 1st Line functions.

Reporting directly to the Head of 1st Line Risk, the Senior MI Analyst's responsibilities encompass:

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Lead the continuous development and enhancement of the 1st Line Risk MI process to ensure the delivery of efficient, timely, and precise reporting.
  • Conduct indepth analyses of business processes, identifying data utilisation and technology requirements.
  • Define and implement an effective strategy for the dissemination of management information to optimise business efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations stakeholders to tailor MI reporting to evolving business demands.
  • Generate insightful metrics and reports for senior stakeholders to facilitate informed decisionmaking, encompassing regular reporting and adhoc data requests.
  • Propose, drive, and oversee enhancements to existing solutions, continuously improving production efficiency and technology utilisation.
  • Establish and maintain governance and control measures in alignment with established standards, ensuring uptodate documentation and comprehensive tracking of system, report, and document changes.

Collaboration and Development:

  • Cultivate a data driven culture of transparency and ethical decisionmaking within the team.

Governance:

  • Establish and manage appropriate governance forums to ensure regular review and alignment of MI systems with their intended purpose.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in modern tools and software, including Microsoft Power BI, Excel, and MS SQL Server Management Suite.
  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis, reporting, and MIS development.
  • Proven ability to innovate processes, enhance control measures, and optimise efficiency at a team management level.
  • Track record of managing teams to meet tight deadlines and deliver client expectations.
  • Extensive experience within the Wealth Management / Platform industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, enabling effective engagement with diverse stakeholders and showcasing the value of datadriven insights to the business.
  • Strong collaborative orientation, fostering proactive problemsolving within the team and across departments.
  • Exceptional people management skills, with a commitment to both technical and personal development and a focus on promoting diversity and inclusion.

  • Strong understanding of complex regulations, guidelines, insurance products, and financial legislation.
  • Note: The Senior_ MI Analyst role_ in the 1st Line Risk department is a senior position reporting directly to the Head of 1st Line Risk. It involves ensuring the development and maintenance of robust management information systems to support informed decisionmaking within the organisation._
