The Business

Role Headline

System Engineers are responsible for the design, development, and implementation of customer projects, according to defined Siemens standards and customer requirements.

Responsibilities of the Role

  • Implementing projects within time, cost, and quality parameters.

Transmission Protection and Automation scheme design – interpreting and translating customer requirements into a complete system as well as applying innovative approaches i.e.products, technology, and people

Testing of Protection and Automation schemes – be responsible to generate, testing documentation, and perform testing at factory and commissioning on site as required during project execution.

Providing customer support – the Protection and automation system engineer is required to perform post-fault investigations as required by the customer.

  • Proactively identify, review, and manage project technical risks and ensure that appropriate mitigation measures are in place.

Support Business development by Identifying Business opportunities and Market Potential in the Utility, Infrastructure, Industry, and other market verticals.

Qualifications and Experience

·BSc or B.Eng. in Electrical Engineering

·3 to 5 Years of Protection Design experience

·Good understanding of protection and substation automation technology systems

·Registered as Professional Engineer or Professional Technologist with ECSA

·Experience in WinCC design and implementation.

·Experience in Siemens SICAM PAS gateway configuration, Siemens SICAM RTUs configuration (Advantageous)

·Independent working style, highly flexible for global travel and going the extra mile

·Excellent communication & professional networking skills

·Strong intercultural sensitivity and ability to work with teams and stakeholders around the globe

·Highly desirable professional experience outside of the home country

·Fluent in English

·Valid Driver's license

·Passport
