An exciting opportunity is available for a creative and experienced
COPYWRITER to join our team at Silvertree Brands.

We are the leading purpose-driven, direct-to-consumer and niche e-commerce player in South Africa.

Our disruptive fast-growing brand portfolio focuses on UCOOK (craft mealkits and food),, FAITHFUL TO NATURE (ethical and natural products) and PETHEAVEN (pet e-commerce).

We focus on "good for you, good for the planet" premium and sustainable brands with the potential to scale globally.


ABOUT THE ROLE

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creates and delivers a range of crossplatform copy including instore, marketing, branded, inapp, organic and paid social media content
  • Executes copy that cuts through the noise, elevates the customer experience and tells strong brand stories connected to our products, suppliers and values
  • Proactively concepts and creates original social content, from captivating captions and Instagram stories that integrate copy with native tools, to video treatments and new content franchise ideas
  • An experimenter who is constantly looking for new ways to surprise, delight and engage
  • A concise writer who is able to inhabit the voice, tone and character of each brand and channel, interacting with the community and the larger cultural conversation.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
years' experience in digital copywriting or social media, ideally in the food, wellness or direct-to-consumer industries

  • Brandcentred portfolio showcasing knowledge of social copy, campaign work, and digital brand storytelling
Functional Skills

  • Passion for language, welltimed puns, and emojis and infographics alike
  • Can write for a variety of brands and channels with dynamic, flexible voice
