Purpose of the job
The purpose of the role is to conduct quality assurance assignment to monitor compliance with the company

agent outsourcing agreement, internal policies, procedure and applicable regulations or laws. Establish

proactive analytical and systematic processes to review data, information, and operating systems, while

assisting the organisation to mitigate its risks and achieve its objectives. Be proactive with own

development and provide innovative ways to efficiently complete own tasks.

Minimum Requirements:
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or a 3-year diploma in auditing, insurance, risk management or accounting

  • Advantageous

Completed or enrolled for one of the following:

  • Post graduate qualification in Insurance or commercial studies.
  • Certification in Insurance, QA, CIA, or any other related qualification.

Experience

  • 2 years of fulltime work experience in quality assurance, Auditing, Accounting, or Risk Management.
  • Nonlife Insurance industry experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties and responsibilities are, but not limited to;


Quality Assurance Reviews, Projects
- a) Validate, test the accuracy and completeness of the Underwriting Process by reviewing (but not limited to):

  • Recalculate the premium for accuracy.
  • Review the covers for insurability and compliance with the company underwriting regulations.
- b) Review the Policy and Coupon Administration Process for adequacy and effectiveness by;

  • Checking if company coupons and policies are issued correctly and completed in full.
  • Check that company coupons and policies are issued in time.
  • Ensure that company coupons are not backdated without prior authorisation from company.
- c) Review Compliance with the relevant laws and regulations by testing and correcting the following requirements:

  • Disclosure of sections that are covered by the company policy.
  • Cost of cover.
  • Inclusion of the correct and complete disclosure information.
  • Distribution of company policy wordings.
- d) Review the month end process (premium transfer to company) for accuracy and completeness by checking the following processes:

  • Determine if the process of gathering and collating premiums (month-end reports) from different business areas and systems is adequate and effective to ensure accuracy and completeness of company premium.
- e) Review of administrative compliance with company regulations, which includes but not limited to;
Claims, Finance processes and so on to;

  • Ensure that the agent has established a process to identify and report company claims.
  • Ensure that company claims are reported on time in line with company Outsourcing Agreement and Regulations.
- f) Provide consultation and review feedback to company support department with regards to:

  • Shortcomings and required improvements on company Regulations.
  • Report inadequate process design (Company Regulations and directives) to management.
  • Conduct followups to ensure that management have reviewed the regulations or implemented the corrections on any directives that are issued to agent companies.

Operational:
Administration of QA projects (Company Agent Companies)


  • Using the QA annual plan, identify and contact the agent company to be reviewed at least 6 weeks in advance.
  • Identify and contact the relevant process owners to prepare and arrange the project planning and start off session.
  • Set up and conduct interviews with all process owners and relevant support staff members or functions to scope and develop the project plan or start of the fieldwork.

Customer Relations:
Internal departments or Ad-hoc QA projects


  • Determine the deliverables of the project.
  • Scope and obtain approval of the project.

Policy and Procedure

  • Provides input on the improvement of strategic audit plan and annual plan.
  • Assists the manager with the research and benchmarking process of the quality assurance review approach and procedures with the view to improve same.
