We currently have two opportunities for Research Analyst with focus on M&A.


The purpose of this role is to work within Alpha BPO Corporate Finance Department with our Corporate Finance Client in the United Kingdom.


Responsibilities:

  • Company analysis, i.e., Conducting research to identify acquisitions targets and potential sellers for live M&A deals.
  • Conducting industry and market research of different industries within the UK market.
  • Analyze company information, both qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization.
  • Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and adhoc reports.
  • Preparation of industry report using advanced report writing tools.
  • Gather and use market data to analyze trends, create charts, graphs, and presentations for Senior Corporate Finance Partners and Advisors.
  • Develop recommendations to improve business operations going forward.
  • Interpret UK business financial statements and valuation analysis (e.g., comparable companies, comparable transactions and discounted cash flow etc.).
  • Assist in preparing marketing documents for mergers and acquisitions mandates, such as teasers, information memorandums and management presentations.
  • Attend virtual meetings with Senior Corporate Finance Partners and Advisors and prepare concise, insightful notes on the meeting.
  • Maintaining and expanding our potential client and buyer database to ensure efficient deal execution.
  • Supporting the deal team on all aspects of the transaction.
  • Keep up to date with industry news through reading News Press releases

Job Requirements:

  • A postgraduate degree in Business Finance, Economics or Financial Management (A masters degree will be advantageous).
  • 23 years of experience within the Corporate Finance/M&A space.
  • Understanding of, and interest in, UK quoted company situations, including knowledge of the UK business markets.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
  • Experience in using different research tools (such as google, Bloomberg, news press etc.).
  • Knowledge of different valuation methodologies and ability to build a financial valuation model.
  • M&A transactional experience desirable.
  • A keen interest in the UK and Global equity markets and the buy/sellside investor landscape.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suites.
  • Ability to meet deadlines an manage time efficiently.
  • Consistently produce work to a high standard of quality, thoughtfulness and insight within prompt deadlines.
  • An outstanding appreciation for accuracy of information and clean, perfect formatting.
  • Adherence to strict confidentiality.
  • Ability to work UK hours (9 am 6 pm).
