Our client is looking for an Operations Manager to join their manufacturing plant.

The incumbent will report into the General Manager and will be responsible for the overall effective and efficient management of the Production, Engineering and Logistics departments.


Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure that relevant targets are met in order to achieve site profit.

Responsible for comprehensive production, maintenance & logistics functions.

Ensure production efficiency and waste targets are met as per the standard.

Accurate and timeous reporting of figures.

Ensure all production targets relating to machine efficiencies, utilisation and waste percentages are attained.

Production and capacity planning performed weekly, monthly and annually.

Ensure product quality conformance is achieved.

Initiate and implement improvement projects.

Comprehensive asset care and capital justification.

Project management and implementation.

Identify and investigate innovation and develop capex projects.

Assess skills development and training needs.

Maintain Compliance of Management Systems, e.g., ISO and Food Safety.

Responsible for safety compliance on site, GMR 2.1 appointee.

Ensure adherence to Company Policies / Procedures.

Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualified Engineer / BSc Degree / 3 Year Production Management Diploma or similar.

GCC government ticket preferable.

5 years extensive Production and Maintenance Management experience within the manufacturing industry with exposure to Financial Management.

Qualification and / proven experience in Lean Manufacturing advantageous.
