We are looking for a SAIPA Article Clerk to join our team

The role is demanding and diverse, requiring a candidate who is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of performing well under pressure.

  • Assist with financial reporting and collaborate closely with senior accountants or auditors on the preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports.
  • Conduct audits and participate in auditing various client accounts to ensure compliance with IFRS for SME.
  • Handle bookkeeping and data entry, accurately processing financial transactions in the accounting system.
  • Support tax compliance efforts and complete tax returns.
  • Engage in research to offer insights on financial and accounting topics.
  • Manage client interactions, address inquiries, and establish strong relationships.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, accounting standards, and tax regulations.
  • Assist with ad hoc tasks like project management, business advisory services, and other administrative duties as needed.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Hold a B.Com/B.Compt degree in the SAIPA/Accounting field.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in Afrikaans and English.
  • Show proactive behavior and readiness to take on responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills and the ability to thrive under pressure.
  • Be diligent, deadline-driven, and focused.
  • Have a knack for administration and an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Possess a solid theoretical and technical foundation in Accounting, Auditing, and Tax.
  • Display willingness to pursue continuous technical development towards becoming a leader in the industry.
  • Express keen interest in Year-End financial duties, like preparing Annual Financial Statements for clients.
  • Exhibit high motivation and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Hold a valid driver's license and own transport, as well as reside in proximity to the office.
  • Provide contactable references, particularly related to technical expertise.
  • Have a clear ITC and criminal record, with approval for necessary checks.
